The 3 Rings Brand was established in the 2004 vintage.
The Hickinbotham family has been involved in the Australian wine industry for nearly 80 years.
The current custodians of the Hickinbotham family’s wine industry heritage are David & Dena Hickinbotham and their son, Alan.
In 1936, David’s grandfather, Alan Robb Hickinbotham, was one of the founders responsible for establishing the highly respected Winemaking (Oenology) education course at Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. Accountable for teaching young, up-coming winemakers and subsequent industry leaders from 1936 – 1948, he became regarded as the father of Australian professional winemaking education.
The Hickinbotham family have been growing grapes since 1971 and in 2004, they established the 3 Rings wine brand which is now sold domestically in Australia and exports to the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and various other Asian markets.
